1Unter dem Archon Olbios; die Leontis hatte die zwölfte Prytanie
2inne, für die Kydias S.d. Timonides aus dem Demos EuonymonIII Sekretär war;
3im Skirophorion am alten und neuen, dem neunundzwanzigsten
4(Tag) der Prytanie; Volksversammlung; von den Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung
5Aischines S.d. Antikrates aus dem Demos Phaleron und seine Mitvorsitzenden. Beschluss
6von Rat und Volk; Leon S.d. Kichesias aus dem Demos Aixone
7stellte den Antrag: Da die Offiziere unter dem Archon Olbios
8ihr Amt in guter Weise ausgeübt haben und gemäß den Gesetzen, und
9alle Opfer, die sie zusammen mit den Generälen zu opfern verpflichtet waren,
10aus eigenen Mitteln geopfert haben für den Rat und
11das Volk; sie auch Sorge getragen haben - - -
12ein jeder für seine Einheit, damit sie, auf das beste ausgestattet
13mit Waffen, zu den Paraden und
14zur Wache ausrücken; sie stets auch in allen
15anderen Belangen Gehorsam geleistet haben den Generälen gemäß
16den Gesetzen; – Damit nun ein Wettstreit sei unter denen,
17die dieses Amt ausüben werden, es in ehrgeiziger und gerechter Weise auszuüben,
18zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, die
19erlost sein werden zum Vorsitz im Volk für die kommende
20Volksversammlung, hierüber verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlage
21des Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat beschließt,
22dass man belobige die Offiziere unter dem Archon Olbios
23und sie bekränze mit goldenem Kranz gemäß
24dem Gesetz wegen ihrer Leistung und ihrer Tapferkeit für den
25Rat und das Volk der Athener; dass ihnen auch sein soll
26ein Ehrensitz bei alle den Festspielen, die die Stadt ausrichtet;
27dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär, der während der Prytanien amtiert,
28aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle - - -
29- - -; dass für die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele die Finanzverwalter
30die entstandenen Kosten geben.

3On the new and old day of Skirophorion, the twenty-ninth
4of the prytany. Assembly. Of the presiding committee Aischines
5son of Antikrates of Phaleron was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members.
6The Council and People decided. Leon son of Kichesias of Aixone
7proposed: since the commanders of tribal regiments of the archonship of Olbios conducted
8their office well and according to the laws and have made
9as many of the sacrifices which they were meant to with the generals, all
10from their own resources, on behalf of the Council and
11People, and managed - - -
12each for his own tribal unit, so that they (the soldiers) might turn out
13equipped with arms as well as possible to their inspections and
14guard duties, and they continued in all
15other ways to obey the generals in accordance with
16the laws; so that those about to conduct this office might
17strive to serve with love of honour and justly, for good
18fortune, the Council shall decide: that the presiding committee
19allotted to preside in the People at the forthcoming
20Assembly shall put the matter on the agenda and submit the opinion
21of the Council to the People, that it seems good to the Council
22to praise the tribal regiment commanders of the archonship of Olbios
23and to crown them with a gold crown according to the
24law for their excellence and [manly virtue] towards the Council
25and Athenian People; and they shall have front
26row seats at all competitions that the city puts on; and
27the prytany secretary shall inscribe this
28decree on a stone stele and stand it - - -
29- - -; and for inscribing the board of administrators shall give
30the expenditure accrued.
